  • CKBC Bloodmobile at Burgin Independent

    Thursday, Dec. 4th, the Central Kentucky Blood Center Bloodmobile will be in Burgin's parking lot from 9 A.M. until 2 P.M.

    If our blood drive can meet the donor quota, then the Burgin Independent senior class will receive one (or more) scholarships from Central Kentucky Blood Center worth $250 per scholarship.

    Please come out to support our school and donate blood for our region!!

  • Annual Burgin Independent Santa Store

    It is that time of year once again! Burgin's Santa Store will be set up in the concourse beginning Monday, December 1st, and continuing until Monday, December 8th.

    It will be open for business each day, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.

    Also, you can have a picture taken with Santa at the "Shop and Go with the PTO" on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. You may purchase a 5x7 photograph for $5.00. There is no limit to the number of people that can be in the picture, and there is no limit to the number of photographs that you can purchase.

  • Burgin School District is a Proficient, High Progress District!!

    Results of the state accountability KPREP assessment, administered in the spring of 2013, show great progress for Burgin Independent Schools. The district ranked in the 83rd percentile among Kentucky schools. Further, Burgin Independent School District earned the classification of Proficient/Progressing, as well as earning the distinction of being a High Progress District.

    Congratulations to the students, parents, staff, and community for this great achievement. Your hard work and diligence has helped prepare our students for SUCCESS!
